The U.S. Against the Iranian People: The Country’s Supply Chain Remains Stable and Operational

Statement by the Lasting Peace Think Tank

Condemning the Unlawful Sanctions Against the Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran

In the Name of God

The recent decision by the United States government to impose sanctions on the Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran constitutes a clear example of unilateralism, economic terrorism, and a violation of the fundamental principles of international law. In practice, this unlawful decision targets not merely a transportation institution, but also Iran’s supply chain, the flow of imported raw materials, essential goods, and the everyday necessities of the Iranian people.

The railway system is a civilian, economic, and vital infrastructure essential to sustainable development, legitimate trade, and meeting the country’s public needs. Imposing restrictions on such infrastructure stands in clear contradiction to the stated claims of supporting human rights and the welfare of the Iranian people, revealing the true nature of these policies.

Considering the restrictions and regulations governing international railway corridors, including the prohibition on transporting many categories of hazardous and military goods along the routes in question, attempts to justify these sanctions on security grounds lack a logical and operational basis. The real objective of such sanctions is to intensify pressure on the national economy, legitimate trade, and the daily lives of the Iranian people.

The Lasting Peace Think Tank strongly condemns this inhumane action, which is contrary to international law, and hereby informs its clients, business partners, and all stakeholders throughout the supply chain of the following:

  • Operational Preparedness: Under the supervision of its Strategic Council, the Lasting Peace Think Tank has proactively developed contingency scenarios and alternative operational plans, all of which are ready for implementation.
  • Alternative Transportation Routes: Should any restrictions arise along railway routes, diversified road, maritime, multimodal, and transit capacities will be activated to ensure the uninterrupted movement of goods and continuity of transportation services.
  • Supply Chain Continuity: Maintaining the supply of raw materials, essential goods, and clients’ commercial shipments remains an absolute priority. Operational planning has been carried out with the aim of reducing transit times and strengthening supply chain resilience.
  • Strengthening Alternative Corridors: By relying on professional expertise, operational experience, and existing logistics capabilities, these pressures will be transformed into opportunities to strengthen alternative corridors and develop more sustainable transportation routes.
  • Assurance to Clients and Business Partners: All clients and business partners may confidently follow up on their business activities through the organization’s official communication channels. There is no cause for concern regarding the continuity of services.

We urge all clients, partners, and economic stakeholders to obtain relevant news and information exclusively from official sources and credible authorities and not to be influenced by misinformation campaigns or psychological warfare.

The Lasting Peace Think Tank remains firmly committed to safeguarding national interests, ensuring economic security, maintaining supply chain continuity, and providing peace of mind to its clients and business partners.
